About Dohatsuten Ramen & Tapas
Dohatsuten Ramen and Tapas first opened in July, 2009. Founder Asahi Hashimoto introduced his home town Nagoya-style ramen featured with spicy minced pork. He created his signature dish, named Dohatsuten Ramen expressed by its name: Do(angry), Hatsu(hair), Ten(sky), wo Tsuku(hit), which means to boil with rage. Unlike other traditional ramen in Japan, our Dohatsuten Ramen is stuffed with much more ingredients, allows you to customize the combination of your favorite soups and toppings to create your own style, and embrace his philosophy: Be unique, be full, and be happy!

This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Wanted to like this place but felt a little disappointed with each dish. Ordered: Dohatsuten ramen (with spicy miso) Chashu ramen with tonkatsu broth Onigiri (tuna / mayo & mentai mayo) Karaage Ramen all came with chili oil which I forgot to ask on the side. Miso base made my ramen taste almost like there was a peanut butter base which I kind of liked but then it tasted a little sour. Tonkatsu ramen was okay. Onigiri is just a plain rice ball with the topping poured on. But mentai one was pretty good, just wished there was more filling. Karaage was pretty solid. Overall portions are generous, but it's not to my flavor liking. Service was nice and attentive though (went on a Friday at 11:30am).

Decent tonkotsu chashu ramen. Broth is lacking a bit in flavor, pork was too fatty but very tender. Service was reasonable, not attentive but that's ok if you want space. Easy to get their attention if you have them down. Atmosphere is hot, open and casual.

Spicy garlic seafood ramen was very good. Not too spicy, but definitely has a kick. Big portions. Lots of seafood in the dish. Highly recommend!

Had the vegetable soy broth with vegetarian ramen, mushroom broth spicy clam and kimchi ramen, pumpkin croquettes and vegetarian fried rice. The mushroom broth with spicy clam and kimchi ramen and pumpkin croquettes both were good flavor. The remaining 2 items didn't enjoy. Tasted blah unfortunately. Service and atmosphere both were good and they were very polite and friendly. Not too crowded when I went last. Parking can get a bit tricky but there were few spots. Overall the experience was decent.

I tried the signature ramen and fried chicken. The broth and meat were tasty, but the noodles were just okay β a little too firm and didnβt really soak up the flavor. Also, the wait was pretty long, about 20 minutes.
